THREE MEETINGS OF LIFE AND YOU
While on earth, and in pursuit of meaning and success, every man or
woman is destined to meet three persons, and vice versa;
- YOUR EQUALS: these are people who are at the same or almost the same level with you. They are mostly useful as companions and confidants. You need each other. You call them FRIENDS.
- YOUR DESTINY HELPERS: these are people who are ahead of you spiritually, politically, financially or otherwise. You look up to them for counsel, connection or support. A contact with them, their words or write-ups can narrow the distance between you and your destination. They may not need you, but you definitely need them .You call them MENTOR or BOSS.
- YOUR DESTINY DEPENDENTS: these are those
you are meant to be an answer to their own problems. They need you as
their own mentor, model or helper. If they don’t meet you at your best,
their own lives may end up in shambles. You may not need them, but they
definitely need you. You call them PROTEGES or DEPENDENTS. Majority of people
you will meet in life fall into this category, and that’s why I’ll dwell
on them.
Almost everybody is cognitive of the necessity and urgency having of
friends and mentors, however, they don’t relate to the urgency of making
mentors out of themselves. This is not unconnected to the fact that human
beings are naturally selfish-always preoccupied with thoughts such as who will
help me? Who can motivate me? Who can mentor me? Etc. but never bothered about
asking ‘whom I’m I destined to help? I’m I mentally equipped to mentor others?
I’m I rich enough to help the needy? Etc.
You’ve got to understand this, you are not called for everyone BUT YOU
ARE CALLED FOR SOMEONE; that someone may end up frustrated or dead if you’re
not properly positioned to help them. Everybody’s problem is somebody’s
assignment. In God’s wisdom as exemplified by creation, we understand that
nothing exists for itself; not even sand or bacteria. The reason you are
important is because there is someone important to God who needs your help.
There is a reason I’m deliberate about self-development, the same
reason I want to be wealthy, it’s the exact same reason I want to carry God’s
presence and it’s the same passion that delivers the grit and sustained
tenacity I need to pursue success; it’s because I want to enlarge my capacity
to help others.
Read and write those books, go for that training or conference, grow
that business, don’t stop until you find that job, get to the peak of your
career, release that song, pursue the anointing and God’s presence, improve
your skills etc. If your life isn’t enough motivation, please let the desire to
help others propel you to get better. YOU ARE DELIVERED TO BE A DELIVERER! Nations
need you, yes you!
