10 REASONS WHY NIGERIA IS CURRENTLY AHEAD OF OTHER NATIONS

Image
Nigeria isn't as bad as the world thinks. Actually we are leading the world and this is why; 1. Other nations are still advocating for animal rights but in Nigeria, animals now make millions on a daily basis (recently a mysterious snake swallowed 36 million naira in a government agency) and rats have the political power to remove a sitting President from office, hence renovations worth millions. Nigerian VISA must be top priority in the animal Kingdom now lol. 2. Other nations still have issues with unemployment. In Nigeria, there is so much job that we give out appointments to the dead and recall corrupt people to handle public positions and the government trusts them to do so with all honesty. 3. In other nations, voting age is 18+ (for adults). In Nigeria, depending on the region, we so compassionately allow kids their right to vote and be voted for. Awwww! 4. In other nations, the absence of corruption makes life better for citizens, in Nigeria it'

What separates failures from successful people (Mike Tyson vs Mohammed Ali comparison)

Image
There is usually a noisy controversy about who should be regarded as greatest amongst the duo. I’m neither a Tyson fan nor an Ali fan, so I don’t give a damn about whom you eventually consider the greatest. My interest is that you learn the very crucial lessons that this comparison would offer. Mike Tyson was a brutal and aggressive boxer who had herculean punching power and intimidating persona. Mohammed Ali was swift, cool, calm and collected, and just for the ladies interest, he is tall and cute as opposed to macho and scary-looking Tyson. So, let’s briefly compare stats. Tyson had a total of 58 fights, he won 50 fights, 0ut of which 44 was by knockout (KO). He lost six. Mohammed had a total of 61 fight, he won 56, out of which 37 was by KO. He lost five. In making the most appropriate comparison, its expedient I consider the following; ·           Style  – How does he box? ·           Speed  – Can you see his punches coming or do they sneak up on you? ·

What all billionaires have in common!

Image
Earlier this year, someone asked me what I desperately need to achieve. To his amazement, I said “I just need to spend 24 hours with men like Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Warren Buffet or Aliko Dangote." He had expected me to say I needed a good paying job, or a contract worth millions of Naira, or maybe a billion dollars because of my very ambitious nature.  If you must be a billionaire, then you must eat the billionaire food and that's exactly what I need in 2020. Suffice it to say that if you kidnap the aforementioned billionaires and take away all their assets, share their assets amongst the poor and without altering their present knowledge or personality, they would become billionaires again within a few years. Conversely, the poor who inherited their wealth would become poorer. If you agree with me even slightly, then it's safe to opine that wealth is first intrinsic before it transcends into the existence of material possessions. You first

BE ANGRY

Image
BE ANGRY!!! The amount of pain and pity I feel when I see people who are very old and at the same time very poor is unfathomable. As a reflex, I imagine how depressing it must have been for someone who was born poor, to have lived poor and died poor. At Abakpa in Enugu state, Nigeria, I saw a poor old man come out of one of the most wretched and dirtiest open restaurants I've seen and he was passionately drooling. Apparently he had eaten the best meal of his life. I felt bad. He probably doesn't know about KFC, Chicken Republic, Mr Biggs, celebrities etc.  yet he felt so amazing. After a brief introspection, I realized that he was probably born poor, has poor kids and may soon die poor if care isn't taken. His children may still end up poor and birth poor kids. But what would be his excuse for dying poor? Because he also had poor parents? RUBBISH. I've spoken to youths in several platforms and when I ask, "how many of you want to end up l

NO ACCIDENTAL SUCCESS

Image
For a while, I've stayed up until late at night, working on huge career dreams I've had for a while, and truthfully is hasn't been fun. Last night left me with a serious body ache and headache. While I lay on my bed, I pondered on one of life's most undeniable reality; success is never accidental, it is deliberate. Success doesn't come fun, it comes hectic. Success can be enjoyed on your bed, but it can only be achieved on your fit or sit and not on your bed. I've realized that the world is full of billions of people who have dreams and visions worth billions of dollars, but only few people who are willing to take the pain of working on those dreams. Forget your wishful thinking and crazy unrealistic imaginations, truth is that poverty is a life companion for a man who isn't ready to leave his comfort zone (Proverbs 13:14, 6:6-11). A wise man once said that "the Richest place is the burial ground" and that's because millions

THE COST OF NEGLIGENCE

Image
THE COST OF NEGLIGENCE By October 2011, I was already a mini-celebrity, at least among my peers. I had flown to Abuja a number of times representing the state, I had been to Netherlands and the United Kingdom, I had a digital Camera I bought in Scotland (digital cameras weren't this common then), my phone was Nokia E75 (then it was sold for #30,000 and only few kids and parents could boast of using a phone that costly then) and I had won plenty competitions (Debate, quiz, essay and math). So in the simplest terms, I was a big boy then and it expectedly got into my head without my notice. Within that period, I represented Ebonyi state at the President's schools debate Championship (south east zone). Beyond my popularity, I was so conspicuously the best Speaker who attended. Everyone wanted to be my friend or at least get an opportunity to eat at my table and it worsened my pride, I treated people like trash. Enugu state was represented by students who looked
